Plat Bleu at the Delano Hotel

Most all-night revelers seek out a local diner for pancakes to stave off the effects of one too many cocktails, but not so for the upscale club crowd that frequents the swank Delano Hotel where there is a brand new lobby brasserie ready to satisfy those 2am munchies—Plat Bleu .

A clever brainchild of Michelin-starred Chef Claude Troisgros and Executive Chef Maria Manso, the afternoon and late night offerings at this cafe society bistro update French classics inspired by Troisgros’ CT Brasserie in Rio de Janiero. While the hotel’s Blue Door Fish restaurant is available for all day dining, the Plat Bleu menu serves up more casual fare for a quick afternoon snack or a late night bite.

Hungry club kids can tuck into a cheesy croque monsieur, a crock of French onion soup or a pot of steamed mussels in white wine until 4am on weekends. Updating the classic club sandwich with lobster and spinning off the highlights of the Blue Door Fish menu, Plat Bleu offers a mix of composed salads, hot and cold seafood, Carioca sandwiches stuffed with freshly grilled veggies, imported cheeses and carpaccio of beef tenderloin. Upscale burgers, Kobe beef sliders and Brazilian skewers of grilled skirt steak, twelve-spice chicken and portobello mushrooms are served with house made potato chips and mesclun salad. Given a choice of a diner breakfast or steak frites served in the gleaming lobby of the Delano Hotel, it is no wonder Plat Bleu is bound for success.

Plat Bleu is located in the lobby of the Delano Hotel and serves a modern brasserie menu weeknights until 2am and weekends until 4am.
