Aqua Girl comes to Miami Beach May 2-6, 2012
Update: Miami Beach will soon see thousands of women arrive on its shores for Aqua Girl, the largest women’s charity event in the country, which kicks-off May 2-6, 2012.
The Aqua Girl concept for women who love women was originally created in 1999 when Alison Burgos, (now co-owner of Pandora Events which creates unique events for women across the country) and Shescape produced a one-night event to benefit breast cancer research.
The annual Aqua Girl event now attracts women from all over the world and continues to grow each year with new events that enhance its appeal. Fourteen cultural events and parties scheduled this year won’t disappoint.
Proceeds from Aqua Girl benefit the Aqua Foundation for Women through grants and scholarships,. Women who attend not only get to enjoy themselves, but they also get to help their community by just showing up and buying a ticket. Aqua Girl organizers and volunteers have created what is recognized worldwide as one of the hottest Women’s festivals in the country to date. A large part of this week-long party has to do with the host hotel selection.
